About Natural Body Care

Tips for using Massage and Body Oils
Body and massage oils are an effective treatment for dry skin. Use about a Tablespoon in the bath -- add after the bath is run and immediately before you step into it, or the essential oils will have evaporated into the surrounding air instead of adhering to your skin.

Apply after your shower while your body is still damp. Let the oil absorb for 10 to 20 minutes

How to have happy feet.
Once a week, soak your feet for 10 to 20 minutes in a warm herbal or foot bath.

Wear cotton socks that keep your feet nice and fresh instead of nylon socks which trap heat and moisture.

Take long walks bare foot on a sandy beach. Sand is a natural exfoliator and its friction on the skin is an ideal massage.

Avoid shoes that don't fit. It's best to buy shoes in the middle of the day as feet will have had a chance to swell. Sizing a slightly swollen foot will ensure a more comfortable fit.

Treat your feet as a beautiful, sensuous part of the body.

If you have other foot problems, such as bunions, hammer toe, fallen arches, excessive perspiration and odor, see a podiatrist.

Try a foot massage. What a luxury to receive. Massage your own or loved one's clean feet with any of our rich body oils. A great way to spend the evening with your sole mate. Foot rollers are also wonderful for relieving sore, tired tense feet.

Hand and Nail Treatments
Next time you're at a social function, look at the hands of several people. Can you tell, just by looking at their hands, what kind of work they do, how old they are?

We pay so much attention to our face and hair, but often neglect one of our most expressive features, our hands. Constantly exposed to sun, wind, cold, chemicals, and are one the first places to show age. Fight the ravages of time and the elements by remembering to take a few important steps each day.

Apply moisturizer frequently.

Wear gloves when hands will be exposed to water or chemicals, and wear garden gloves when working outdoors.

Before you go out in the cold, moisturize and put on gloves.

Clean your rings frequently by soaking them in a solution of white vinegar and distilled water.

Use a hand mask one a week.
For deep moisturizing treatment, apply a rich moisturizer, wrap hands with plastic wrap and leave on for 30 minutes, or put on cotton gloves  over moisturizer before going to bed.
